Our silent auction features an outstanding collection of 19 original 11x14 inch, black and white photographs taken by Margaret Randall in Nicaragua, just as the Sandinistas swept to power in 1979.
To see all of the photographs and to read Margaret's reflection on taking these pictures, click here. We are very appreciative of Margaret's work and are pleased to present these photographs given our own long history of solidarity with our partners in struggle in the global south.
She used a Pentax K-1000, rolling the film herself from the ends of Cuban newsreel, and printed on Agfa Potriga, a warm-toned semi matte paper. They are stamped on the back with signed mats.
The photographs will be available for preview during the week preceding the auction.
